If you love horses, or ever dreamed of having a horse, you have probably heard someone say "that's a lot of work to own a horse!" Horses alone are not all that much work as compared to the effort that is required to keep up their habitat.


Who would have thought that raking tumbleweeds would fall under "horse care"? Well, it sure does. Out here, we use electric fences to keep the horses in and the fence can be robbed of its power from any material that rests against the wire. Horses are quick to call your bluff if you aren't careful, so weed control is high priority!


Chores like these are the ones that no one really wants to do. We have a wonderful volunteer who was not only willing but also dedicated to making a huge dent in this ovewealming task! Look at those piles! Thank you so much Kim. You are so appreciated and these horses are so blessed to have such loving hearts willing to help out!
